Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week: Trend Forecast Swimwear 2014

I’m excited to announced I recently joined the SJ Chronicle team as a fashion writer and Director of Social Media! Below is a snippet from my first article forecasting trends for the upcoming  Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami. I’ll be covering the ins and outs, reporting on trends, runway shows, parties and interviews throughout the week so if you’re interested in fashion, designers and celebrities, check out SJ Chronicle for some amazing photos, as well as your backstage pass to MBFW Swim 2014!

SJ SwimMotivated by nature and exotic locations, designers draw inspirations from their homelands for the 2014 collections. Expect luscious green hues and radiant florals to breathe life on the runway, while the official MBFW footwear sponsor, Ipanema, is expected to bring vitality to match colorfully painted toes.

Returning for a fifth time, designer Paula Saavedra will showcase Caffe Swimwear’s Spring/Summer 2014 collection of swimsuits, beachwear and accessories inspired by the landscape and culture of her native country, Columbia. Metrovelvet’s exclusive preview revealed the Latin American influenced line will feature floral and animal prints capturing the tropical colors of the region.

On Sunday, July 21st Maaji Swimwear makes its Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week debut inside the Cabaña Grande tent at The Raleigh. Also inspired by their homeland, the Sierra sister’s Chimeric Wayfarer 2014 Collection symbolizes the adventurous spirit of Columbia.
