The architecture was that of old New York mixed with a Spanish flair. You could almost feel the energy of the ”Roaring Twenties” around you. The smell of stale popcorn was familiar. The clinking of cocktail glasses welcomed. The chill of the winter air seeped in through the cracks and swirled through the audience members as they scurried to their seats, buzzing with anticipation.
The lights dimmed. A hush fell over the crowd. Soft notes of the orchestra began to fill the air, replacing whatever chill was previously noticed. The curtain was drawn. Immediately the room was transported from a majestic NYC theatre into the dream-like world of music and emotion that is Broadway.
